A Dog’s Collar – What Has it to Do With His Eyes?

chokeWe’d never knowingly harm our dogs, would we.

Did you know that a tight collar or particularly a choke chain can cause not only eye problems but other unexpected problems also?

Check or choke chains are still used in dog training despite the proof that positive training methods work best and that choke chains and prong collars can cause great damage.

For more information see here for a great diagram courtesy of Dog Games Shop and Sally Hopkins.

I go to many dogs who had been controlled by choke chains until I arrived. One owner had bought a prong collar from abroad on eBay. This dog I went to had been sent away for training.
